The Club plays an aggregate Stableford competition against the Japanese Golf Association (JGA) each year. This event has a long tradition and has been played each year since 1967. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The competition is held late in the season at the Sandringham course and is scheduled to play mid-morning on the Saturday.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Members who play in this competition are by invitation and are eligible to play in the standard Saturday competition. Sandringham members compete using their GA daily handicap and JGA members use their own handicapping system.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Each club fields a team of 12 players comprising 10 male and 2 female members. Each team provides a physical gift to be awarded by the team captain to the best player (typically lowest score) of the opposing team. Each team also provides a physical gift for one of the NTP holes to the opposing team. Gifts are nominally commensurate to the value of the Sandringham prizemoney for a Saturday competition.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Members competing in the competition will have the team booking paid by the club and will secure tee times in advance of the regular Saturday field. Prizes are donated by the club.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Following completion of the competition, players are invited to stay for the presentation of prizes and a light lunch with costs shared between the competing clubs.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
