Sandringham Golf Club is proud of its history since formation in 1937. Our Club enjoys the facilities of the Sandringham Golf Course, a council-owned public course, managed and maintained by outsourced professionals. The Club is affiliated with the Victorian Golf League, the parent body representing golf clubs on public courses in metropolitan Melbourne.
The membership year ends on 31st August and generally we have around 300 members. The main competition is held each Saturday and attracts around 80 players. A further 9 and 18 hole competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Visitors are welcome to enter the Saturday and weekly competitions. The Club encourages ladies and juniors to join. The Saturday competitions award separate prizes for men and ladies events. We are also keen to promote members’ knowledge of and adherence to the Rules. Update sessions are conducted regularly on an informal basis. Members wishing to attain Club and State level accreditation are sponsored financially. Our aim is for members and visitors to play golf in a friendly, and somewhat competitive, environment. We encourage members to participate in pennant and other VGL events. One of our annual highlights is the Charity Day, usually held in September or October. We also have a few BBQ days - after the final round of the Club Championships, the mid-year winter event, and pre-Christmas Ambrose event. The Committee and members look forward to your company. |
