Q. Tell me about Sandringham Golf Club?
A. Sandy is a one-day a week Golf Club that conducts a weekly competition every Saturday. We have no formal connection, playing or booking rights or privileges with the Sandringham Municipal Golf Links as such though we have used it as our home course since 1937. Our members book their games the same as any member of the public.

Q. How do I join?
A. You need to fill out an application form and return it with a cheque/cash/money-order for the required amount to SGC (1937) Inc. P. O. Box 21 BLACK ROCK VIC 3193. Application forms are available from the 'Competition Room' at the course, a form can be mailed to you by contacting the Secretary on 9585 6979

Q. How much is it to join and how long does it take to gain membership?
A. $60.00. New member applications are processed each month at our Committee meetings with no waiting or probation period required. Once your application has been passed you will be contacted shortly afterwards by the Captain to welcome you to the club and supply you with some basic Member information so that you may begin to enjoy the benefits of membership immediately.

Q. How do I get a handicap and will it allow me to play at other clubs?
A. Our club is affiliated with The Victorian Golf League (VGL) which is affiliated with The Australian Golf Union (AGU) and therefore your handicap is recognised worldwide. You need to submit five (5) cards annually to both gain and maintain your handicap for one year.

Q. What kind of competitions do you run?
A. We conduct a weekly competition every Saturday of the year with the full range of events from Club Championships to Monthly Medals, Ambrose events, pairs events and
Matchplay tournaments etc. Our members generally play in the morning with afield
of between 70 and 80+ players being the norm.
